Another Big ‘Un

Took Sean to an indoor bouncy house arena today so he could play without incinerating in this monstrous heat.  Whilst Sean was making his way through an obstacle course I sat on a bench to monitor his progress.  An older woman motioned to the empty space beside me in the is-this-space-occupied and I made the appropriate gesture of it’s-free-go-on-and-sit-down.  After a few seconds she said, “you look like you’re ready!”  I shook my head a bit and said, “not until October”   Her eyes widened and she looked down again, “Just one?”  I said nothing and just nodded in the affirmative.  She expelled a breath and said, “I’ve been a OB nurse for a very long time I thought you were due soon

Shortly after this her youngest grandson was meddling with the older one and she was needed to mediate the dispute.   About a half hour later our paths crossed again and I asked her, “So in your opinion how much bigger am I going to get?”  With her head cocked to side she said, “Well you either have a heck of a lot of water in there…but I think you’ll have a nine pounder.”

So we will just have to see what will transpire in the next six weeks.  I wonder if the impending one will follow in Sean’s poundage?

Once again into the breach

Probably going to have my fantastic glucola test today.  Hope they have a better flavor than three years ago but I doubt it.  Good to have some optimism though!

Sean went to bed during the first half of the England-Algeria game–which I’m currently watching En Vivo!!  I know Anonymous is thankful the World Cup only comes around once every 4 years.

Return to “may become”

Most have seen adverts on TV for a new kind of pill that has the warning for women who are pregnant or “may become” pregnant.  Today I returned to the “may become” category of women.  The last hurdle of pregnancy and post-partum has been cleared–I got my period today.  So now Anonymous hubby gets to look forward to a moody wife every month!

Smack head with hand

I was poking around the internet and found this outrageous story. It’s definitely the type to ask “What were they thinking?” also I found it to be somewhat amusing.  Not in the funny Ha Ha sense but when you laugh at something that is so out there!  I wonder what tales I will be able to tell with my upcoming hospital stay.

It’s not a conspiracy

Yes, I’m still pregnant.  What I find funny/frustrating is that I keep getting phone calls or e-mails from friends and family somehow convinced that I’ve had the kid and haven’t told anyone.  Well everyone can rest assured that when this event happens people will be notified.

Non-Committal Green

Before we knew we were having a boy we both liked the colour green for the room. My husband and I joke that its “non-committal green”.

My anonymous husband and I spent the weekend painting. The room in which our new arrival (when he decides to grace us with his presence) will be housed is now “dusty leaf” green. It’s a beautiful colour and I like it very much. Tomorrow I will wash all the bedding for the crib and the room will be pretty much done. I really enjoyed doing this task with my husband, I was able to use the paint roller for the middle of the wall (too short for the top and can’t really bend at the waist). I love being able to contribute I cherish that feeling. Tuesday I go to the doctor again, we’ll see what he says and until then I get to gaze fondly into a lovely green room.

Almost done

Tomorrow I will be officially 38 weeks pregnant considered full term. I also have a doctors appointment tomorrow so we shall see how the growing one is doing. After tomorrows appointment I have 2 more scheduled. I have a feeling these weeks are going to be slow but I might be surprised.

I would love to hear others hurry up and wait stories! Whether it was for a new car, pay check, vacation etc!
